Details on Outfit Design

1. You can design a full outfit in a form of a dress, gown, suit or T-shirt.

2. Each design should be related to the HIV/Aids and/or reflect the Awareness Movement. HIV/Aids symbols include the red ribbon, condoms or anything you perceive that supports the movement.

3. Each design should contain a meaning. A short write-up on the design needs to be given that will be announced during the event.

4. Each design should be a personal idea and innovation.

5. Materials have to be self-funded. However, AIESEC BEADS can help provide condoms (expired ones) for those interested in designing a condom dress (TBC).

Important Dates

Sign up by: 10 April 2009 or earlier

 All participants are required to sign up in order to join the competition by 10 April 2009. You do not need to produce a design by this date.

Prepare a Sketch of your design by: 15 April 2009 or earlier

A rough idea of your design (with a sketch) needs to be sent it to imagineforred@gmail.com for general comments.

Notification by BEADS about submitted sketches by: 17 April 2009 or earlier

General Preparation time: 17 April – 14 May 2009

If you register and submit your sketch earlier, you will have more preparation time.

Other Important Details

1. All designs are subject to approval as we might receive more than the required entries given the time limit of the fashion show.
2. Try to submit the sketches ASAP because we will stop accepting applications as soon as we receive 25 meaningful designs.
3. The sketch can be improvised on even after the approval as long as the meaning is not lost.
4. Each participant is required to source for his or her own models.
5. We regret to inform that dropping out of the competition after registration is not allowed.

6. Event is not open to tourists. However, it is open to exchange students and anyone who studies, works or resides in Singapore.

7. Each team cannot have more than 3 people. Prize money must be split amongst the winning team.
